We are delighted to report that our Equalities Officer, Kathleen Kennedy has been elected as Scottish Disabled Members’ rep onto UNISON National Disabled Members’ Committee for the coming year.
Our congratulations go to Kathleen.
She joins Susan Kennedy, who is an elected member of the Local Government Service Group Executive, and Kate Ramsden, who was elected this year onto the National Executive Council, on national bodies of UNISON.
Branch Secretary Inez Kirk is also the Vice-Chair of the Scottish Local Government Committee and branch officers are active on a number of Scottish committees including our retired member, Bob Revie, who is on the Scottish Retired members committee.
Kate Ramsden, Branch Chair said, “As a branch we are well represented at Scottish and national level and we are pleased that we can take the issues for the North East of Scotland into these fora and bring back information to the branch.
