JOINT STATEMENT

Unions agree support for
Aberdeenshire Council Single Status implementation proposals

Following further consultation with members, the trade unions and management have agreed to move to implementation of Aberdeenshire Council's Single Status proposals.

Agreement was confirmed during a meeting of trade union representatives and Aberdeenshire Council officials at Woodhill House, Aberdeen, today (Wed, Feb 21, 2007).

This position will be reported to the authority's Policy and Resources Committee on Thursday, February 22, and the national offices of UNISON, GMB and T&G.

Aberdeenshire Council is to send out further information to employees over the course of the coming week.
