UNISON Area Organiser, Betty Lyon said, "The course will provide information on dementia and how it affects people. It will also raise awareness of supports available for dementia sufferers and their families and how these can be accessed.

"Overall we hope that people who come along will gain a greater understanding of dementia and will become more confident in using and signposting people to the supports on offer."
