JOINT STATEMENT

Unions and Aberdeenshire Council in
productive talks over Single Status

The joint trade unions, UNISON, GMB, and T&G, met Aberdeenshire Council officials today (Tue, Jan 23) for further talks on the Single Status proposals following the outcome of recent ballots.

The talks were productive in identifying areas of agreement and outstanding issues of concern, with a view to reaching an agreement within the next few weeks, subject to further consultation with employees.

All parties agreed to make no further comment until after they consult further within their own organisations.

A further meeting is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, February 6.
