JOINT STATEMENT

Unions to consult again over Single Status proposals

UNISON, GMB and T&G met today (Tue, Feb 6) with Council representatives for further talks on Aberdeenshire Council's Single Status proposals.

Aberdeenshire Council made a revised offer on the terms and conditions package. On the basis of this, GMB and T&G are to consult again with their members over the next fortnight.

A further meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 21.

Following a meeting between trade union and council representatives in January, further information has been sent to employees in order to clarify a number of issues. After the meeting, described by all as productive, all parties again agreed to make no further comment until the above consultation has been completed.
