Papers have now been issued by post or email for the branch’s Annual General Meeting which will be held across two aggregate meetings on Wednesday 19th February 2020:
- 12.00-2pm Committee Room 1 Woodhill House, Aberdeen
- 7-9pm Kintore Arms, Inverurie
A buffet and refreshments will be provided at each venue.
Inez Kirk, Branch Secretary said: “Whether you work for Aberdeenshire Council, Cornerstone or one of the many other employers Aberdeenshire UNISON represents we aim to have something for everyone. Cuts in every employer and demands on your time continue!
“We need you, our members, to participate. We need you to respond to surveys and ballots, to have your say and shape the way your branch operates, to ensure your views are represented and heard.
“Within these AGMs we have a number of motions on issues locally, nationally and internationally that we hope are important to you as workers and citizens.
“We will also be reporting and discussing issues on the key topics for this year including the roll out of our North East Scotland Carers Project; pensions in Local Government; Cornerstone recognition; pay consolidation in Local Government and equalities within the workplace and wider society.
“The AGM is your chance to hear about the work we are doing on your behalf and a chance for you to shape the future of your Union. A buffet and refreshments will be available at each venue and members of the Branch Committee will be on hand to answer any questions or just to chat.
“We very much hope that you will come along and look forward to seeing you there.”
