Rise Up Quines marks the centenary of (some) women winning the right to vote. It will seek to celebrate women in politics and leadership, past, present and future.

As you can see, it includes a range of events such as workshops, panel discussions, films, exhibitions and performances, and aims to inspire women and girls to become politically engaged and lay the foundations for them to become future activists and leaders.

Branch Communications Officer Kate Ramsden, along with SEPA UNISON member and ATUC Secretary Fiona Napier, will facilitate a Unions Into Schools Workshop on Wed 14th November with a focus on women’s rights and challenging sexual harassment and discrimination.

Branch treaseurer, Ann Gray and Morag Lawrence, our Magazine Editor and Pensions Champion will be involved with other UNISON Branches in running a stall.
