Whether you work for Aberdeenshire Council or any other employer, you will know it has been a very challenging year; whether it be protracted talks on pay, derecognition, the impact of changes to the ways of working, or just being expected to do much more in the hours of work. The key component for defending all these issues is membership participation, so we would urge you to attend the AGM and hear what UNISON is doing locally and nationally and be part of our decision making process.
This year, we have chosen not to have a guest speaker. Instead, we will give a report on local government pay and pay consolidation and a report on the situation in Cornerstone Community Care, one of our largest voluntary sector care providers and the derecognition of UNISON. The AGM is your chance to have your say on the issues of the moment and gives you a chance to raise issues or discuss concerns with Branch Officers. A buffet and refreshments will be available at each venue and members of the Branch Committee will be on hand to answer any questions or just to chat.
We very much hope that you will come along and look forward to seeing you there.
