UNISON has a long standing tradition of supporting Grampian pride, and this year, the Year of the LGBT+ worker, is no different!
On Saturday 25th of May, we will be joining forces with UNISON Aberdeenshire and Health branches to make sure that everyone knows they are accepted, respected and loved for who they are.
The Pride parade starts at 11am, starting at Alford Place and finishing outside Marischal College. We will be meeting at Alford Place Unison building from 10am – please bring your friends, family, dogs and all the colour and noise you can muster!! We will provide banners, flags, etc.
We will also have a stall at the Pride Village at Duthie Park between 1-6pm – if you can spare an hour or so to help at the stall, please get in touch!!
We will also be having an evening prior to the big day to get all our materials prepared, etc. We will provide pizza, good music and fun times (you may bring a bottle of wine if you like!) Please let us know if you can help with this. Date/Time TBC.
For more information about being involved please contact Ian Kirkwood-Allen (Equalities Coordinator & LGBT+ Officer ian.kirkwoodallen@aberdeenshireunison.org )or visit the Grampian Pride social media/website
