Join us to celebrate International Women’s Day on 8th March at 7pm

#BreaktheBias #IWD2022 Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination. A world that’s diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women’s equality.

Please join us online on 8th March from 7-8.15pm, to celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD). We will hear from  Tatiana Urquhart and her memories of celebrating IWD and  watch a few short films to encourage dialogue on gender bias.

As a union that is almost 80% women, it is only right that we should challenge gender bias and the gender pay gap and stand up for women’s rights. Women are subject to discrimination and harassment on a daily basis and that needs to end. UNISON is at the forefront of this fight.

In celebrating women’s achievement, raising awareness against bias and taking action for equality, we hope you will join us on the night and Strike the IWD 2022 pose (see poster) by crossing your arms to show solidarity.

You can share your #BreakTheBias image on social media using #IWD2022 #BreakTheBias to encourage further people to commit to helping forge an inclusive world.

Please see online link to event, which is easier to read on mobile phone and tablet.

We hope you can join us! You will be very welcome.
