#YDW2022 Please join us for our International Holocaust Memorial Day event, our first event in UNISON’s Year of Disabled Workers.
It will be held online on Thursday 27 January from 7-8.15pm.
The event will be chaired by equalities officer, Kathleen Kennedy, and the plenary session will be facilitated by Dr Lynne Tammi, former CEO of Article 12 in Scotland and currently an independent researcher.
Branch disabled members’ officer, Clare Taylor-Brown said, “This event will be dedicated to remembering the millions of people murdered in the Holocaust under Nazi persecution, with an opportunity to learn of the systematic persecution of disabled people, Black people and the Roma and Sinti people during the period under Nazi rule in Germany as well as in occupied Europe.
“There will also be an opportunity to talk about modern day discrimination and hatred.”
