Are you interested in finding out more about plastic pollution?
UNISON has secured funding to deliver a 2- hour online session on plastics pollution provided by Glasgow Science Centre. It will be held over a lunch time (12pm-2pm) with a date confirmed in due course.
The course will be an everyday science workshop exploring aspects of plastics pollution in our personal and work-based spaces. Through sharing information, activities and videos we aim to engage participants in discussion around the impacts of plastics on our lives, raise awareness of issues with plastics and explore ways we can effect change.
Topics covered include:
- What are plastics?
- Just how much plastic do we use?
- What is the problem with plastics?
- Plastic Pollution in everyday life
- Plastics and climate change
- What do we mean by chemical pollution?
- What can we do to reduce, reuse, recycle plastics in our workplaces?
