The STUC is working with Umeå University in Sweden to run this 4-day training course for trade union members and reps from all sectors of the economy.
On the course, you will be supported to analyse the environmental impact of your workplace and to create alternatives that are environmentally and socially just.
Green Champion, Steve Gray said, “This is important and timely training, which will also help develop a course for all workers. It would be really good to see UNISON activists take up this opportunity.
“If you are interested, please complete the expression of interest form and you will receive information about timescales and allocation of places as soon as this is available. The costs of accommodation and meals are covered for participants. Help with travel costs is also available where needed.
Steve added: “Workers have the skills and capabilities to be the agents of the transformative changes our societies need, and this course will provide you with invaluable knowledge that you can take forward in your workplace as well as contributing towards the development by Umea University of a freely available online course for all workers to learn from your input.
“Workers must lead the green transition,” said Steve, urging anyone interested to get in touch with him via the Grampian Resource Centre, to let him know – email: grampianresourcecentre@unison.co.uk
