Get along to Grampian Pride 2019 for a fun-filled day

Aberdeenshire UNISON is proud to be one of the sponsors of Grampian Pride, and we are urging all our members to join what promises to be a fun-filled lively event on Saturday 25th May in Aberdeen.

This year’s event is looking set to be another great event following on from last year’s success.

Grampian Pride aims to bring the local and wider community together, welcoming everyone from North East Scotland, the rest of the UK, and international communities. Grampian Pride aims to provide a safe space for all LGBT+ individuals and their straight allies. The Pride event will consist of a march, various stalls, information about LGBT+ organisations and services, entertainment, key speakers, safe spaces, and a family area.

To be part of the parade, gather in Albyn Place from 9.30am for a march off at 10.30am. There will be a huge range of brightly coloured floats, and much laughter and fun throughout the parade.

There will be a free Family Fringe from 11am – 1pm with great entertainment at a range of venues in Aberdeen City Centre, including Aberdeen Arts Centre, Blackfriar’s, Brewdog, Carmelite Hotel, Siberia and the Wig.

Then from 1-8pm get along to the Pride Village, Queens Links. It’s free too but you will need a ticket. Fantastic entertainment for the whole family, plus charity stalls, health checks and more.

For more information on all the events and how to get tickets go to the Grampian Pride website.
