The branch has issued a survey to all social work members for whom we hold email addresses, to find out more about whether workloads are manageable and how many are losing hours on Bodet.

If you know of any UNISON colleagues in social work who have not received the survey by email, please direct them to this webpage.

The survey is completely confidential and you are not required to identify yourself.

The survey link is below and should be completed by Wednesday 18th November.

This follows on from a number of concerns that have been raised with the branch about workloads.

Kate Ramsden, branch co-chair said, “We are aware that workloads have been an issue for our social work members for some considerable time and this has been raised by the branch in a number of different forums.

“However we would like to get a sense of the current extent of the problem of overwork and losing time amongst our social work members.

“We fear that the demands of Covid may have made this worse, so we have put together a short survey to find out the extent and impact of overwork.”

Ann Gray, acting assistant branch secretary added, “We would be very grateful if our social work members would take a few moments of their time to complete the survey.

“It should take no longer than 5 minutes and will provide us with very important information about the extent of the workload issue.”
